Shakeology-Chocolate dream, price nightmare.

My long, impatiently awaited Shakeology, finally arrived a few days ago. I also said what the hek, and got the book 1 for $2.95. It was a pretty interesting read. Akin to reading a tourist's journal of his travels, only it all revolves around journeys for the healthiest ingredients to add to this impressive drink.
When i say impressive, it is not an exaggeration. It actually kind of scared me that my body reacted so well to it, and within such a short time. I drank the chocolate with my own special concoction, and instantly felt better. I had more energy and somehow felt lighter. I'm sure the fact that it keeps me insanely regular, helps with that ;) That must mean that my body has been begging me for whatever super foods & nutrients are in this drink. There is a possibility that maybe it is working as a placebo. Maybe my mind is convincing me it's making me feel better, but i think i'd put money on the first prediction.

Well, i DID put money on it. Lots. Which, brings me to my next point, the price. I love the drink, but i hate the price. My wallet just isn't thick enough to afford this on a regular basis. I know people say it's less than a fast food lunch or a Starbucks drink per day, but i don't even spend money on those things to begin with.

So that argument goes out the window. The only reason i afforded it this time around, was because my birthday was coming up and the money i had spent on something else was coming back to me from my mother, as her gift. Well, of course i bought a big ol' bag, enough for 30 days, but this sucker is going to be rationed like Auschwitz portions. I'll either have a shake every other day or half of one every day. I want this to last as long as possible, but still be beneficial in helping me lose weight and get my vitamin intake and healthy eating back on track. Hopefully, a month will give me a good kick start, but it may last longer than that.

Despite the price, if it is in your budget, get it. You won't be sorry. Especially, if you are someone who is overweight and begging for energy and nutrition. This drink is honestly like a really healthy desert. Out of all the samples i tried, Chocolate and Tropical were the nicest to my taste buds. You barely have to add much to make it a perfect concoction. I usually add a banana with rice milk. Sometimes, if i want to get fancy, i'll add more fruit and special juices for more variety. I highly recommend those two flavors and going on their facebook page to get in touch with one of the many coaches. They will give you samples and recipes for free. :)
Shakeology, please consider lowering your price for this amazing drink. You would help a lot more people, and i would think the amount of people you brought in would compensate for the dip in cost. :) Best Blogger Tips

  1. I have the chocolate and love it, but I agree with you about the price. I, too, don't eat fast food every day or Starbucks so the 4.00/meal seems steep. I wish they would lower the price and I would use it all the time. In my area, Blue Diamond Almond Milk now makes a Coconut/Almond combination at 60 calories a cup and combined with the chocolate it is amazing!!! They just need to lower the price.......
