Sibu Cleanse & Detox Soap

I have sensitive and dry skin, and it's something I battle every day. I will try any new product to control this issue. With only one condition, that it is free of harmful chemicals and natural. That can be more difficult to find than you think. My latest experiment was with the Sibu Cleanse & Detox Soap and I may have found a new staple in my beauty regimen.

Sibu beauty soap is made with all natural ingredients, and is organic, cruelty free, vegan friendly, gluten free, without any harmful additives. You really cannot get much better than that.

Ingredients: Coconut oil, palm oil, safflower oil, glycerin, purified water, oatmeal, sodium hydroxide, sea buckthorn puree, sorbitol, sorbitan oleate, fragrance orange/lemon, soybean protein, sea buckthorn leaves, titanium dioxide.

Sea buckthorn is known as nature's most balanced fruit. This "Holy Fruit of the Himalayas" has been cherished by native Tibetans for centuries for its incredible nutritive qualities. Over 120 specific studies on sea buckthorn have shown that this little berry promotes health. From sea buckthorn's rare abundance of some of the most powerful antioxidants to being the only plant in the world known to contain essential fatty acids 3, 6, 7 and 9 - sea buckthorn has earned its title of superfruit.

My take:
I've been using Sibu cleanse & detox soap for about a week now and I have seen some improvement in my acne and moisture.

My first impression of this soap was that it smelled like a lemon lime dream. I could not stop sniffing it. It was strong enough that I endured the pleasant experience throughout my entire shower, and it definitely lingers on your body. Case in point, i'm sniffing my hands right now.

Second was the texture. When I started showering with it, I noticed that it had a nice amount of oatmeal granules built in to help exfoliate the skin of the days toxins, and slough off damaged outer layers. This really helps to reveal the healthier skin to take it's place. It's a great benefit to any soap, and kills two birds with one stone.

The lather produced was plentiful and a little went a long way. It felt very soothing and moisturizing when I massaged my face with it.

There was no irritation felt upon using this on my face. In addition, it rinsed off very clean and didn't leave a nasty film like so many soaps do.

There is a definite change in my skins overall moisture, but it didn't combat my little bumps on the backs of my arms. I did see an improvement in my acne. The bumps are going down and healing quicker on my face and back. It has to be the sibu, as I'm not using any other soap or cleanser right now. Nor am i using much of anything aside from moisturizer at night. The sea buckthorn is a Natural astringent and inhibits bacterial growth, so I am guessing that plays a strong part in the improvement.

It did nothing for the dry peeling spots, but no soap is going to manage that. That is where the big boy creams come in. I'm betting their cream in combination with this works really well.

Overall, I think this is a great soap to use regularly for cleansing and detoxing skin, but not something I would rely on for moisturizing alone.

The MSRP is $6.95, but you can find it cheaper at places like Amazon. So far, I do not see the soap dwindling down much. It may last quite a while for the money.

I love that this has a super fruit as the main ingredient, and have heard great things about it. I do know that sea buckthorn comes highly recommended by Dr. oz, in all its forms.

Sibu has a whole other line of skincare and supplements that I would absolutely love to try out in combination with the soap!

  6. I have seen that cream, but never used it. I'll have to try it out one day. Trust me, nothing is weird or odd anymore. I see beauty products named Toe Juice, Monkey balm, and there's another one having to do with asses. Udder cream is hardly laughable lol
